Since 2001, Roger Dean has been a staple of the NEARfest experience. Known worldwide for his unmistakeably gorgeous and ornate landscape paintings, album cover artwork, and logo designs, Roger is a true icon of progressive rock. His cover paintings for the likes of Yes, Gentle Giant, Asia, and Uriah Heep are among the most distinct and awe-inspiring pieces of rock art in history. Few band logos are more recognizable than the classic, twisted "Yes" logo, which first appeared on the band's 1972 tour-de-force, "Close to the Edge." In the midst of creative masterful paintings, designing logos, compiling a new book, and working on an animated feature film, Roger has found the time each year to design a one-of-a-kind logo for NEARfest, and each time he has produced incredible designs. Below are the designs that Roger has provided the festival from 2001 to 2007.
